The prison reforms and decongestion is being be pursued with greater vigor by the @MBuhari Administration. The FG is building a 3,000 inmate capacity prison in each of the six geopolitical zones. The #BNMCVolunteers are touring one of them in Kano. #BNMCProjectsTour #PMBProjects The new prisons will meet international standards of care, support and rehabilitation of inmates in custody. Did you know that President @MBuhari in 2016 directed Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and Federal Housing Authority to synergise their skills and capabilities to build 30,000 housing units in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano? This National Housing Program is part of President @MBuhari’s Family Homes Funds (FHF), a N1 trillion Federal Initiative, established in 2016 to deliver housing for low-income and middle-income Nigerians.

It’s a THREAD 👇🏽 The @MBuhari-led administration has since set aside $170 million seed funding for the Ogoni cleanup, the fund is being kept in an Escrow Account established for that purpose. The Escrow Agreement signing ceremony took place in April 2018.

The University was granted approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in Jan. 2018.
