Some concerning policy shifts have taken place in Canada that are important to talk about.

It’s rather shocking, considering even Florida still offers COVID-19 testing, but Alberta announced today that by Aug. 31, they will no longer be testing for COVID-19 in the community. It’s understandable that we all want to move forward, but to stop testing for it when a highly infectious variant is spreading rapidly through a still unvaccinated ~30% population along with much of the world remaining unvaccinated, is irresponsible.

1 new case of #COVID19NS is being announced today, July 26, which includes the reporting periods for July 25 and July 24.

There are 13 known active cases in the province with no hospitalizations.

The new case is in Central Zone. 75.4% (+0.2% since Friday) of the entire population of Nova Scotia has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

57.6% (+1.9% since Friday) of the entire population of Nova Scotia is fully vaccinated. 17.8% still need to receive their second dose.
