📢TODAY: HCD’s Housing Accountability Unit sent a 2nd Notice of Potential Violation to the City of Huntington Beach, a day ahead of a proposed City Planning Commission vote to prohibit “builder’s remedy” projects. 🧵1/ HCD sent a letter Monday advising the city that adopting an ordinance to prohibit “Builder’s Remedy” applications—circumventing state law designed to ensure affordable housing gets built—would violate the Housing Accountability Act. 2/ hcd.ca.gov/sites/default/…

HCD will conduct a first-ever Housing Policy and Practice Review of San Francisco, aimed at identifying and removing barriers to approval and construction of new housing there.
