Hinshaw on AB removing contact tracing: Building it back up now wouldn't be best use of resources right now b/c need health-care pros elsewhere. The 4th wave's trajectory was "set" when AB removed public-health restrictions in July, rather than b/c change in contact tracing.

Hi. Let's talk about why the number of new daily infections matter. Come, walk with me. Alberta announced 364 new cases of COVID-19 today. Record high. Sure, very few, if any, of these people will die. Few, if any, will be hospitalized. That's great! But all -- every single one of them -- are supposed to be isolating. And their close contacts must be isolating.
