So I attended the "Shape the Way" engagement session tonight in #yeg and despite it being waitlisted, about 2/3rds of the chairs remained empty.

@AdrianaLaGrange alluded to this being the case as HCWs "not making the effort."

It only gets worse from here folks.

1/🧵 Image The room was made up of U shaped tables with a facilitator at each. Upon entering the conference hall, I was directed to a specific chair by a staffer at a table in the far corner of the room.
My table represented OT, Home Care, Emergency, ICU, and other specialties.

I really haven't talked about this at length but I feel like it needs sharing. It lives within me in a way I don't want it to.
I'm just an IT guy. This IT guy ends up in areas of all kinds of areas of the hospital - heck I was dressed up to enter an OR just last week. I witnessed a heart transplant and subsequently a lung transplant at the Mazankowski. This was pre-pandemic and significantly different.

What struck me was that that heart came in a beer cooler, something I found humourous despite the significance of the dear organ.

Looking forward to seeing @sjlhamilton at Council on Monday so she can answer questions about election donations from Kamil Issa and Harpreet Singh, nearly 10% of her 2021 election campaign who happen to be applying to take away a school playground. #yegcc ImageImage I'm sure that @EdifyEdmonton would be pleased that one of their top 40 under 40 is taking away a school playground from children.
