After 5 wonderful years as Deputy Director for Legislative Affairs at 10 Downing Street, and over a decade in Westminster, my time working in Government has come to an end and a new challenge awaits. It has been an honour and the privilege of a lifetime to work in No.10.

Growing up in Birmingham, going to the local comprehensive, and being the first in my family to go to university, I couldn’t imagine I’d spend over a decade in the corridors of power and five years advising prime ministers.

This happened because MPs backed an idea by Conservative MP & former Minister, Sir Oliver Letwin, to give control of Commons business to backbench MPs so they could put forward their visions for #Brexit
