As crypto heads to goblin town, builders keep on building despite the bears.

One new project I'm excited about? @MintMarketplace, an artist-first NFT marketplace.

NFA, but here's why I've got my👀on $MNT 👇🧵 Idea 💡

The #NFT concept exploded into public consciousness last year, to excitement, groans, frustration, and greed. Especially greed 🤑

But if you strip all that away, NFTs are about providing a new way to track ownership - and one of the first use cases is digital art.

I'm a huge $UST bull - I believe successful algorithmic stable coins can be the linkage we need between DeFi and TradFi.

But today's slight depeg of UST on Binance is concerning 😬

Here's why it happened and what it means for $LUNA 👇 1st - what's a depeg?

Stablecoins are pegged to currencies & meant to maintain the same value. In the case of $UST, that means it should maintain 1 to 1 value vs. USD

When that fails it reverberates across the Terra ecosystem, creates arbs & could crash $LUNA's price.

Ever wonder why the virulent panic over violent gangs of the late 80s and 90s has subsided?

It’s not because cops fixed the problem – it’s because it was a racist moral panic that was leveraged to increase police budgets and incarcerate people of color.

Here’s how 👇🧵 Yes, violence in cities was a problem - yet violent crime fell substantially in the 1990s while rhetoric ramped up.

Meanwhile, between 1989 and 1991 the FBI claimed the number of gangs increased threefold.

Their source? Surveys of cops - who gained $ from the supposed crisis. Image
