(A very short thread) (1) The most concerning thing about reading the Boris #HumanRights thread is the lack of understanding of the HRA and the ECHR. The ECHR is not an EU document. It was a commitment to stop a recurrence of fascism and the spread of Stalinism. (2) It was Winston Churchill, François Mitterrand and Konrad Adenauer along with Bishops, business owners, trade unionists and academics who came together and asked for a charter of rights to provide universal protection.
