Trudeau is gone as soon as today. He won in 2015 by outflanking the NDP on deficit spending. He was widely popular with expectations high on reconciliation and climate change. He failed to deliver, and was an effective corporate steward for oil and gas (even buying a pipeline) 🧵
His preferred solution of a carbon tax with a rebate was a huge gift for the right, while doing little impact emissions. The corporate sector loves carbon pricing btw.
