[Shanghai Humanoid Robot Training Center]

Just returned from my visit to the humanoid robot training center in Shanghai. This facility (actually a government supported company) is not yet well known to the ‘outside world’ and it just opened last December. Image The center has 104 humanoid robots from 10 Chinese companies and they actively use them in various scenarios and settings. Yes, you’ve read it right - one hundred and four humanoid robots! [My thoughts on Tesla Optimus and AI Day 2022] The energy and excitement at AI Day2 was amazing. “AI day” is actually a recruitment event, and in that sense I believe the event was a big success. It was also incredible to see all the new technologies Tesla has been working on including the Optimus humanoid robot prototype.
