1/6. I’ve seen people tweet “Don’t resist the police”. While I inherently agree with this, I’d like to point out that it’s not that simple, especially for POC.

Police “target” areas that are low income & typically minority POC. Once you are in the criminal Justice system, 2/6. no matter the crime, you now become a financial supporter of the courts. You may qualify for a court appointed attorney that is overworked & underpaid. The way the system is set up, you’re more likely to take a plea deal to avoid a jury deciding your fate.

I have spent the past 4 years under the tyrannical rule of an out of control Republican Party.
When they rolled back environmental protections they didn’t worry about the future of our children & grandchildren.
When they banned LGBTQ from the ➡️ military they didn’t worry about people losing their jobs for their sexual preference.
When they banned Muslims & separated families at the border they didn’t care that immigrants are humans and suffer like the rest of us. They don’t even care that immigrants
