🧵 By popular demand – some questions to ask the PHSA! They may limit the no. of questions from each person, so it helps to have multiple people asking (& it shows more people care).
Email board.office@phsa.ca by 4:30pm April 15.
1/? 1. BC gov says HCW masks & respirators will now be based on "risk assessments". Please detail what frameworks & policies will be used to make those.
2. Does PHSA/anyone you work with track trends in hospital-acquired illness, esp before/after changes in infection control policy?

Exactly 3 weeks ago today (April 28 2023) our group met for the first time to stage a die-in with 50 people at the office of BC Health Minister @adriandix in Vancouver to protest the removal of universal masking in healthcare. #DoNoHarmBC#KeepMasksInHealthcare#MaskWeekOfAction
Prior to this protest none of us had never met, now we are allies and co-activists. What prompted us to do this was this tweet by @ElaineCarol3:
I wear my #N95 at the gym every day, 2 fans running on high, doors open, window open, & CO2 reading under 550. It's not hard. I do it because I don't know who was here before me, or if they were sick. 😷 Haters ask: "ArE yOu GoInG tO WeAr a MaSk FoReVerR?" Here is my answer:
I still wear a seatbelt more than 3 yrs after it became law. Still don't smoke indoors more than 3 yrs after it became law. Still use condoms more than 3 yrs after the HIV/AIDS crisis began. Still only drink clean water, still wear sunscreen when out in the sun. So do you!
