My sister,a teacher in the US, suffered MS then died of Brain Cancer.She chose to stop treatment because she was nearly bankrupt.She died aged 53. My husband died of cancer in UK at 48 Debt free.
Unless very wealthy, the majority, in UK have little idea of costs of healthcare, because noone needed to fear bankruptcy. I watched my sister juggle what her insurance in US would & would not pay. If it was an emergency or not ( it made a difference re insurance) #NHSBill
