Lots of questions regarding the accuracy of the Abbott BinaxNOW test platform among asymptomatic individuals. I recently learned of a study of the European version of this test that was recently published and cited some helpful data.

Among asymptomatic people, the sensitivity is 79.5% and the sensitivity is 98.7%. To make sense of these figures, one needs to consider the prevalence of the condition in the target community.

Another day with 30+ new cases. As in prior days, these cases did not all occur on the prior day, or on any single day. Instead they are distributed across a range of dates.

Nonpharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) are actions, apart from vaccines and taking medicine, that people and communities can take to help slow the spread of illnesses. Practicing NPIs now will ⬇️ the spread of flu and will prepare us for #COVID#Preparedness#NPIs
