Video geolocated at Shifa Hospital complex showing a large tunnel released by the IDF and Shin Bet. The tunnel portal descends 10 meters down, 7 meters covered by staircase and then enters an underground network that spans 55 meters to a metal door. 1/4 Geolocation: 31°31'29"N 34°26'39"E

Russia has now bought Mohajer-6 UCAV’s and Shahed-136 loitering munitions from Iran. It is also now reportedly buying Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar short-range ballistic missiles. A possible next purchase may be Iran’s arsenal of land-attack cruise missiles (LACM’s).

A thread: The first and most likely contender is the Soumar LACM which first appeared in 2015. The missile has a claimed range of 2000-2500km. This missile is ground launched and has been tested on a variety of occasions.

The Luna-M isn’t a ballistic missile and the Fateh-110 isn’t a crummy knock-off, it’s actually very capable and generations more advanced… and actually a ballistic missile. Next we’ll be suggesting the Emad is a crummy knock-off of the V-2. It makes that little sense.

It’s substantially more advanced than the Luna-M which is essentially an unguided artillery rocket. These are short-range ballistic missiles with a range of 300-700km and a high accuracy of 5-10m CEP. Playing down Iran’s weapon capabilities has always been a pet peeve of mine. If you don’t have adequate air defences to shoot these down, which Ukraine doesn’t (only a few S-300V and I don’t know how many are still operational), they are going to seriously damage your infrastructure and military targets.

I’m losing my mind at this discourse that is materialising around military aid to Ukraine. “It will get us into nuclear war” “it’s the military-industrial complex wanting to prolong war”. Just engage your brains. The conventional weapons that we are currently providing and plan on providing to Ukraine to strike Russian targets inside occupied Ukrainian territory is not going to force Moscow to launch nuclear weapons on NATO countries.

I really don’t understand people who call for talks between Russia and Ukraine. To me demanding peace negotiations now suggests you likely have failed to understand the basics of the conflict, as well as each sides demands and ensured you kept up-to-date with developments. Russia has set goals. It intends to fully steal Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts and facilitate full territorial annexation. Putin literally won’t stop the war until these basic goals have been achieved. There may be operational pauses, but the war will go on.

THREAD: Last night reports were received of an Israeli airstrike in Jabailiya northern Gaza, that killed at least 4 children, among others. However, evidence points to a different conclusion: that a Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket landed short and was responsible. 1/7 Firstly we have video from the scene which shows little damage from any apparent airstrike, however a rocket can be seen at 0:04 planted into the ground with locals inspecting. Another video geolocated in Jenin reportedly uploaded to TikTok earlier and then deleted showing militants facing and possibly firing onto street junction nearby to where Al-Jazeera journalist was shot. Location: 32°27'45"N 35°17'05"E This does not prove Palestinian militant shot her but shows, if the video is confirmed to be from today, that active fighting was ongoing on the street and may indicate Israeli forces were present at the junction in the green box above.

#UPDATE: Houthis say they fired multiple ballistic missiles and 25 drones against military and vital targets in Riyadh, Jeddah, Taif, Jizan, Najran and Asir in Saudi Arabia. -6 Samad-3 drones and a number of Zulfiqar ballistic missiles (Iranian-made Qiam) targeted the Ministry of Defense, King Khalid Airport and other military targets in Riyadh.
