Critical fire weather is expected today-Thursday evening in the Sierras and much of #NorCal.

@NWS issued a red flag warning that includes most of Modoc County, the @ShastaTrinityNF in Siskiyou County, and a large swath of interior #NorCal.

Mind these equipment use safety tips⬇️ Red flag warning safety tips: Never mow or trim dry grass on a Red Flag Warning Day. (Mow before 10 a.m. on a day when its not hot and windy); Never use lawn mowers in dry vegetation; Spark arresters are required in wildland areas on all portable gasoline powered equipment. @NWS @ShastaTrinityNF @Cal_OES @SiskiyouOES @CALFIRESKU @SiskiyouSheriff @CALFIRELMU Red flag warnings are the highest alert for ideal weather conditions which may result in extreme fire behavior.
