To be clear, we never accepted the absurd narrative built around 18 USC 1512. The 99.5% conviction rate, along with the fact that this charge survived nearly every level of review in the DC circuit, is compelling evidence that these cases should never have been prosecuted in this jurisdiction. We did everything in our power to warn everyone that they were in an extremely precarious position regarding risk management.
