Many of us wanted Rey's hair down and her to wear a glorious dress as a way of integrating the feminine. Notice what they have Wanda wearing... a "tiara" and a dress...plus her hair is DOWN in snake-like tresses.
Wavy, snake-like tresses are sometimes references to the Medusa in mythology.
Medusas often has negative connotations, but in archetypal language, they are empowered in a male-dominated world. And a Medusa is in full power with her snakes.
