The Civil War-era abortion ban has created nothing but chaos for women & doctors in our state. I promise I'll do everything in my power to protect our reproductive freedoms.
Here’s what I’ve done to put an end to this never-ending assault on our fundamental rights:
1️⃣ I signed an executive order removing the ability of county attorneys to prosecute women and doctors for performing or receiving abortions. I refuse to allow extremist county prosecutors to use this ban to lock up women seeking primary health care.

I unveiled the latest study of groundwater conditions across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Families and businesses from around the world come to Arizona in part because we are serious about water management, and that we are the leader in safeguarding groundwater supplies. ⬇️1/4
What the model ultimately shows is that our water future is secure: the Assured Water Supply Program is working. Water supplies for homeowners and businesses are protected. Growth has been planned for, and will continue. 2/4

For the past three years, the federal government has used Title 42 as a temporary solution to a permanent problem. May 11th, that will come to an end. That’s why today I am announcing the State of Arizona’s Title 42 Preparedness Approach. ⬇️ 1/71. Public Safety- I have directed the Arizona Department of Public Safety to assist local sheriffs and law enforcement in maintaining safety and security on Arizona highways and prevent harmful drugs like fentanyl from being brought into our state. 2/7

Today a Citizen Referendum has filed with our office to refer part of HB2853 to the ballot! The committee is reporting 141,714 signatures which is above the min required: 118,823 signatures.
So what happens next? 🧵 1/8
Filing petitions today means the applicable portion of law will not be implemented tomorrow on the General Effective date🛑As long as the petitions continue to meet the min sigs through all the processing, that portion of the law stays on hold. 2/8
