This article is long on telling and implying to you what to believe folks are doing, and little on what they're actually doing.

There are legitimate criticisms to be had of OR, and the term "pragmatic" needs to be thrown directly in the 🚮.

THREAD to break down this mess: Let's start with this misleading headline:

"Pro-Sanders group rebranding into ‘pragmatic progressives’"

Here's what that actually references. It's a bad take, but the piece's own text undermines its framing about a "Pro-Sanders group" rebranding.

Of course this shows up for me now.

I want data, not...whatever this is. To the extent it's still unclear, that probably has a thing or two to do with not researching it in the first place. Now, I've heard a thing or two about natural immunity not being quite as good against Delta/Lambda/etc...but I don't have those %s handy, because I suck like that.

I was able to find some Lancet research from April, though, re: natural immunity.

Good to know Democratic Majority For Israel made sure to chuck cash at one state Dem party in particular a few months ago, per OpenSecrets:

The totally-not-relevant state party of...New Hampshire. 😐 opensecrets.org/search?order=d… I'm shocked, truly shocked that this org smears Bernie while praising Bloomberg.

We DO NOT need to pool with Warren to get over 50% in Milwaukee.

I repeat: WE DO NOT NEED WARREN TO WIN!

In fact, helping Warren get delegates is helping Biden or Pete win at this point, because she CLEARLY isn't going to pool with us!

Thread time: Right now, there are only two strategies that make sense.

The first is ensuring absolute dominance. You see to it Bernie gets as many votes as possible to put him at the highest percentage possible, and shut everyone else out as best you can from reaching the 15% minimum.

So I tormented myself by listening to WeakKnees' nearly two-hour inaugural "podcast" stream so you wouldn't have to and OH BOY. (Thread)

During which, he plays some music he made with his cousin, including a lovely "f*ck Bernie" tune featuring fun, awful, violent lyrics like... I won't give this clown the benefit of more footage nor a direct link to his contemptible bile. I'm risking my account as it is to expose this trash that needs to be called out and condemned, let alone want to Streisand him more attention.

But there's more in the same song...

I'm not sure who needs this, but it's time I put together a fresh thread compiling/recompiling concerns with Elizabeth Warren.

If I'm to believe she's an ally, and good enough to be POTUS or even to be VP, then these are thorny subjects she *will* need to answer for.

Let's go: First of all: we should follow the money. Corrupting corporate and wealthy cash underpins much of why we can't have nice things.

And Warren's record on this, in spite of her recent corporate PAC pledge...leaves much to be desired.

I'm going to piss some people off with this thread.

But much as it pains me, we have to be willing to call out even those who are supposed to be our allies if we're going to make them do better.

And we need to have an honest talk about Elizabeth Warren. Now, I'm not going to sit here and brood about who she didn't endorse in 2016. I could forgive her for that if she showed since then she was willing to do better by the movement.

But looking at the money, it does not appear she's correcting course as we would hope.

Pardon the overused meme, but...

IT'S A TRAP!

What on the surface seems like a pleasant article highlighting Bernie's consistency is actually more like a cute-looking piñata full of muddy hit piece candy for the establishment.

THREAD! This seems good...but...we'll come back to this later in the article, when it's expanded upon and cast just a bit differently.

As a woman, I find MSM's blatant attempts to exploit a sensitive situation BEYOND infuriating. Thread... nytimes.com/2019/01/02/us/… Women who support Bernie but dealt with problems like this in 2016 are no doubt hesitant to come forward, and it's precisely because hacks like this prey on the situation.

YOU'RE DISCOURAGING WOMEN FROM SPEAKING OUT AND HAVING THEIR CONCERNS HONESTLY ADDRESSED!

And on today's episode of "Breaking The Poll':

A thread on this Hill/HarrisX poll of tomfoolery.

thehill.com/hilltv/what-am… 1,001 polled. OK...
"The results reflect a nationally representative sample of registered voters." Yet these proportions seem a little off.
Guess you want people to presume "registered voters" = all Americans.

I've been trying to be nice, but we need to have a talk about this business.

And by "talk," I mean a very long thread.

usatoday.com/story/opinion/… Call me picky, but I spy an immediate small red flag in the second paragraph as Tom fails to articulate what Dems stand for:

"broke down barriers"

We see you, Tom.

Great, another sneaky article I'm gonna have to drag. Excuse me while I get my laptop and make a thread of this mess.

nymag.com/intelligencer/… First, we have some of the opening paragraphs trying to push some kind of implication he's got some kind of "yuge" ego.

"And he still thinks he should be president. He doesn't say this out loud, exactly." Umwut?
