I just wish people would just view wildlife from afar. Don't get close to them because you might make them nervous. People are naturally curious and get awed by them but please just maintain your distance. Recently at Pulau Ubin a wild boar suddenly appeared out of nowhere where we took a break at. There was another visitor near us and I don't know what he was trying to prove but he briskly walked up to the wild board to give it water. The wild boar immediately tensed up.

Tun has an ultrasound appointment this morning, so he has to be on a fast until it's over. He's so upset with me for the lack of breakfast. My heart breaks for him. We still don't know what's wrong with him. Blood work isn't conclusive to tell. He's been losing weight even though he's eating and has his regular appetite. He has lost part of his eyesight. The vet says 90% of his vision is gone. He hasn't been climbing or playing. He just eats, use his litter box, and find places to nap. Sometimes he seeks out cuddles.

According to hubs he noticed that only in Singapore that Nyonya kuih is actually Malay kuih. In Malaysia it's just called kuih. Whatever race in Malaysia will call this kuih. Not Nyonya kuih.

Also the spelling of the kuih in the list is atrocious:
"Pulok"
"Harun"
"Dardar" "Rainbow coloured kuih" my ass. It's kuih lapis lahhhhh

I actually want to see this tree in Taiping. See how the props are angled, the whole structure of the tree, the roots on the tension side and the branches.

It must be an interesting specimen! The tree is 150 years old!!!

Going to the nursery to the regular place I go to means I come home with piping hot tea for my plant friends. Nurseries are seeing a spike in houseplant collectors coming to purchase. These new houseplants collectors are the result of CB. People stayed at home and needed something to care for.

Not just in Singapore, but we see this trend globally.

Gusti Adipati Handaya Ningrat: Fights for his people and country. Puts self interest aside, including that of his sister's.

Hang Tuah: Fights for himself and love. Loyal to the Sultan to a fault.

Who is more honourable? Gusti Puteri Retno Dumilah (aka Puteri Gunung Ledang) was needed by her brother, The King of Jawa, to help to establish ties through marriage to protect their people and country. They faced invasion and attack from the country of Demak.

See next tweet for her choices and poll.

I disagree. You can be happy with someone who doesn't have the same love language as you.

Solution is understanding, selflessness and compromise. Understand what your partner's love language is. Be selfless by making your partner's happiness an importance. Do that by responding with their love language.

Both parties will have to do this tho.

You can also show them your love language so they may understand.

We got an animal communicator to communicate with Kiki and Tun because these two currently have issues.

Right off the bat before I said anything, AC asked if Kiki scratches a lot. I said yes. So I asked if it's anxiety related or it's just the skin. AC said it's skin itchy Kiki has no anxiety. That's good. Without looking at what Kiki is currently doing, AC asked if she's scratching her shoulders, behind right ear, and thighs. These spots are the spots I saw Kiki scratch all the time. Might need to check with vet when we go in for vaccination later

Tun is not feeling very well today. Past few days he seems weak. Yesterday he slept the whole day. His appetite is quite low today too, refusing his morning kibble. I gave him a different flavour and he dis eat some but he needed a lot of encouragement. His left eye seems to be watery and he doesn't open it as wide. This started yesterday. The earliest appointment for the vet we got is tomorrow morning. I hope there's nothing serious.

Jalan Sesat Ke Syurga is pushing sensitivities in the Malay Muslim community. It's like with drama Nur/Nur 2.

I like it. If there is any takeaway from episode 2 of Jalan Sesat Ke Syruga, it's if you want to learn about religion, you NEED to find a trustworthy teacher. This is what my guru ngaji always remind me.

You cannot do/learn everything on your own. Takut sesat.

At what point does one deserve a second chance? Everyone has different point of measure where this is concerned.

Personally, if there is growth, there is no (known) repeat offence, who are we to say this person is condemned for life for his past, as terrible as it was? Yes put out a warning, but lay down the pitchforks. Pick them up if the offence is repeated.

I started and finished reading this book all in one night last night, with a snoring husband by my side and 2 sleeping cats at my feet. I couldn't put the book down! Liyana Dhamirah was one of the candidates for Red Dot United contesting at Jurong GRC this #GE2020. Image She detailed her struggles in life in this book. I am amazed by her strength to push through and to be innovative to support her family. She wrote about not having a home and there were times when her family didn't have anything to eat other than plain rice with salt.

What is this, Jalan Besar GRC candidates? Kampung this kampung that. The theme of you guys' speech is kampung is it? #GE2020 The term "kampung spirit" is abused so much in promoting things that it has lost its meaning. Simi sai all kampung spirit.

Yes. Why??? Hubs is saying that PAP gets 4.5min because he is both answering the questions given and to reply to all 3 opposition parties. That's why he needs more time. #GE2020

Xx said on recent OLG podcast that talking about plants won't be controversial.

As someone who is in the plant community, professionally and as a hobby, there is a lot to be controversial about.

Check out Kaley Ellen's YouTube channel. First up: That thing about Philodendron Pink Congo.

This is not a hybrid. It's a scam. It's a regular Philo given some auxin, a kind of plant hormone, to give it that pink colour. The colour doesn't last. Plant is too ex (as ex as a variegated plant)

When HSK says that the new party members are "a diverse group", he really means diverse in terms of backgrounds, right? Cos it sure is not race. Lol 1 Malay candidate really does not make the group racially diverse, if the diversity he meant was race. That 1 Malay candidate is the token minority, I feel. Not even token Malay okay? It's a token minority.

Did they have a hard time finding suitable candidates from other races?

The matter with Dayang Senandong: Is it colourism or is it racism?

Follow through this thread for a breakdown. I believe Dayang Senandong is more of colourism within the Malay culture, and back then your skin tone suggests the class in society you're in (within Malay culture).

I hate this as much as the next person. Your skin tone is not a measure of your worth.
