1/ RM @RepGregoryMeeks: Trump claims the U.S. “will run Venezuela” and is willing to put “boots on the ground” and take Venezuelan oil.

This is the language of forever wars, committing U.S. forces and American taxpayers to a dangerous and open-ended foreign occupation. 2/ Trump’s comments make clear the administration’s military strikes were never about drugs. They were about regime change and oil. Yet the administration has no plan for what comes next, locking the U.S. into an expensive and protracted nation building exercise. This is not America first.

A 🧵to round it up: Late Friday night, Trump unlawfully fired independent Inspectors General—our gov watchdogs—including @StateDept, who monitor for waste, fraud and abuse.

No accountability = unfettered corruption.

Trump has tried to abuse his power before, and he’s doing it again to execute Project 2025.
