He provides zero logical reasons to support his claim, because there are none. What Al Gore chose to ignore says more about his honesty and integrity:

The only living ruler that has earned my public praise and respect is President HRH Mohamed Bin Zayed.

Islamic Law prohibits the ill from fasting. For those who are ill, but not severely ill, and can fast, they fast - but take their medication (only) during the day and continue without consuming anything else. Then, they make up for these days (as a precaution) when/if they can. 1

Furthermore, there is no issue with medication, because many medications can be taken in the evening or early morning (before the fast begins and after it ends). There are other laws such as feeding poor people for breaking one’s fast. 2/4
