All of my best friends from college are hanging out in Nashville with my bro and I’m jealous af, but damn I love those boys! We’ve been through almost 2 decades of heartbreak, loss, weddings, babies, and so much more together. Couldn’t be happier that after all this time we’re still friends and they love my siblings like their own. Special group of people.

The first copies of the Declaration of Independence were printed on the evening of July 4th, 1776 in Philadelphia by a young immigrant, John Dunlap. ~200 Dunlap broadsides were distributed throughout the colonies, including one to General Washington & one to England. #July4th Though several copies made their way to England, the Continental Congress did not send an official copy directly to King George. A 26th copy of the Dunlap Broadside was found as recently as 2009 in The National Archives in England. #July4th

Also, why has the officer who shot someone that day not had their name released? I am not weird about this, people trespassed & were threatening, many were not in the right, but what gives? A person was shot by a federal officer. Where is the transparency?

Within mere hours the mom was in the media spotlight. She nor many giving her media coverage mentioned Ma’Khia was in foster care. Of course that doesn’t take away from loving or memorializing her daughter. She wouldn’t have been going to her mom’s home. That saddens me even more. She was left to the system and her mom took center stage upon her daughter’s death.

“America has a gun problem,” they said. We‘ve had the gun control narrative screamed at us like crazy for over a decade. Americans cannot be trusted with firearms & would likely “shoot first” in all kinds of situations, especially those they perceive as threatening. 1/ And definitely those that involve minorities. Trigger happy & whatnot. The gun situation is obviously highly dangerous, right? Well American cities are knee deep in protests, riots, & destruction. Yet shootings in response are crazy low. 2/

Just remembered a touching story I want to share from work last week. We had a huge convention in town, I helped out one of our restaurants during the day & ran events at night. We had all hands on deck. Tons of staff & it still didn’t seem like quite enough. 1/ One of our young bussers is here from Honduras on a work visa sponsored by my boss so she can help with care of her elderly grandmother. Two family members are citizens and have worked with us before. They were great so boss thought he could take the chance & help. 2/

Now this “working draft” gets posted to her official site that she & others from her staff & party link as an explainer, & remains there for hours. They finally yank it after it‘s thoroughly picked apart & start playing the draft card, claiming it didn’t represent the GND. 2/
