At 1658 on November 18th Ann made the first of 3 desperate 999 calls for her husband Martin who she thought was having a heart attack
"He was in terrible pain. He was saying I don't think I'll make it"
1 @BBCBreakfast
On a zoom call to Ann in her kitchen with Martin's photo us behind her, I asked her how urgent that call felt?
"Life or death. I thought, I'm going to lose my husband here"

A thread -
In 2018 @mencap_charity introduced me to Pat & Ken Booth
I was trying to find parents of people with a learning disability who’d died prematurely
They told me about their Little Miss Sunshine and my goodness... their pain😔 @BBCBreakfast
They told me how their girl had gone to hospital in Sheffield for a routine eye operation & died
They told me she never ate while she was there
They told me they knew she was dying but no one listened
And then I received a letter... @BBCBreakfast

My heart breaks for Ken & Patricia
They’re wiping away tears as they hear the findings of daughters inquest
“gross failure of care”
Malnutrition DID contribute to Laura’s death
No evidence fed in hospital
Original assessment she died of natural causes NOT adequate @BBCBreakfast
@BBCBreakfast Behind them on the video link with the coroner & team from hospital is a huge photo of Laura’s smiling face
Coroner said “there was an overburden and undervalue placed on Laura & Mr & Mrs Booth... I am so sorry it fell to you to pursue this” @BBCBreakfast

They have no idea what the private contractors are doing and even key workers yesterday couldn’t get a test for love nor money @BBCBreakfast
