Saskatchewan’s conflict of interest commissioner has found former Saskatchewan Party government backbencher Gary Grewal breached the Act by having his hotel companies, The Sunrise Motel and Thriftlodge, participate in gov’t contracts.🧵 #skpoli The Sunrise started receiving social services clients in 2018, but saw business with government jump after Grewal was elected in 2020. His wife does the bookkeeping there. Business with government at the Thriftlodge began in 2021.

I obtained Michael Walter's affidavit over the litigation into Saskatchewan's pronoun policy. He says the minister's office instructed him on Aug. 9 to develop the policy. Nine days later, on Aug. 18, a final draft was delivered to the minister. #skpoli He says the policy language was finalized three days later on Aug. 21. It was then released to the school divisions and the public on Aug. 22. #skpoli

Just in: A poll from Edmonton firm Advanis finds that 73% of Albertans support the province's Bighorn Country proposal, while only 16% oppose. 11% neither oppose nor support. #ableg #abparks The poll was conducted between Dec. 10 and 19 and included a sample size of 1,077 randomly selected respondents. News release says this is considered to adequately represent the population with a margin of error of +/- 3%, 19 times out of 20. #ableg
