There's so much hypocrisy in Democrats' discussions of voting rights. They make sweeping claims of “voter suppression.” Here’s what that looks like:
EARLY VOTING: In MA, early voting lasts a week. In NJ, it lasts nine days. Next year, Biden’s home state of Delaware will allow early voting for the first time, and voters will have ten days.
Meanwhile, Texas and Georgia offer 17 days of early voting.

Today the Senate will vote on the National Defense Authorization Act, an important annual bill to guide our national defense policy.
This year’s bill includes a few provisions that will be especially important to Texans ⬇️
First, the bill ensures our brave men and women in uniform receive a well-deserved pay raise.
It will help build a new barracks at Fort Hood, and an Ambulatory Care Center and an Aircraft Corrosion Control facility at Joint Base San Antonio.

HHS will be activating another “Temporary Influx Care Facility” for Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in Pecos, Texas. Projected capacity is 500 children, with potential to expand to 2000. HHS believes that the first arrivals will begin 10+ days from now..
.@axios is reporting that DHS has awarded an $86.9 million contract for hotel rooms near the border to house 1,239 aliens from family units. They “do not have to follow the same safety protocols that official government detention spaces do.”

The 1/6 attack on the Capitol was horrific & appalling. Those who planned & participated in the violence that day should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I agree w/Speaker Pelosi – a 911-type investigation is called for to help prevent this from happening again.
I’ve had concerns with the process of this second, snap impeachment from the start. This could establish a dangerous, and sure to be used in the future, precedent of impeaching a former President after they have left office.

As President-elect Biden contemplates re-entering the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear activities, the first question we should ask is: Would it prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons? The answer is "no."
Bottom line: we can never allow Iran to get nukes.

Really? @realDonaldTrump ‘s campaign and then his administration was corruptly investigated by Comey’s henchmen at the FBI during Obama presidency .
Incoming National Security Advisor @GenFlynn was sandbagged by Comey’s henchmen and convicted in a dubious abuse of government investigative power.

While we are appropriately celebrating the life of Justice Ginsburg, we should also recall what as been called the Ginsburg Rule for judicial confirmation hearings, dating back to her own confirmation hearing in 1993, presided over by then-Chairman Joe Biden:
“A judge sworn to decide impartially can offer no forecasts, no hints, for that would show not only disregard for the specifics of a particular case, it would display disdain for the entire judicial process.”

Does this sound like a serious approach to passing the next #COVID19 relief bill? @playbookplus
On TUESDAY, Speaker NANCY PELOSI and Senate Minority Leader CHUCK SCHUMER said the Republicans’ $1 trillion Covid relief plan and the Democrats’ multi trillion-dollar HEROES Act are simply irreconcilable.

@WSJ The Justice Department’s release of documents from the Obama Administration’s 2016-17 Trump-Russia investigation is beginning to paint a picture, and the more we learn the worse the FBI looks.
The latest evidence comes from Friday’s declassification via the Senate Judiciary Committee of the FBI’s interviews, over three days in January 2017, with the primary source for the infamous Steele dossier.

Without a doubt, there are more #COVID19 cases in Texas; thankfully, almost all will recover as they are between age of 20-59. No, you are not bulletproof.
Hospital bed capacity is concerning for those needing them, but sufficient for now. Staffing is a big concern because our doctors, nurses are exhausted.

"The virus that ravaged Northeastern U.S. cities is surging through Southern and Western states. It’s different this time. @WSJ
Younger people are getting sick with Covid-19. States that had brief coronavirus lockdowns are struggling to encourage social distancing and mask-wearing.

Since much of media is laser focused on new #COVID19 cases in Texas, here is the rest of the story for some context as of today:
1.6 million tests
7.2% positive rate
63% recovered
2% fatality rate, disproportionately those 80+ years old
Everyone watching hospital capacity for any surge, but so far so good. However, we know the virus does't play by our rules.
