Dear Increased Spasticity,
if you are not caused by a current or developing pump malfunction, please exit Kelly's Body ASAP at the urgent request of the manager.
2/5 This request also applies to whatever issue brought you as an uninvited guest to Kelly's Body. The manager has provided an increased intrathecal baclofen dose to speed up this process and make your exit as gentle as possible.

Intro thread: Hi, twitter user who follows me or just wandered on to this page, I'm Kelly, I'm a 27-year-old graduate of U of I, now in a paralegal program. I'm a cisgender white woman, and I know I'm forgetting one of those Identity things; oh yeah, I'm disabled/crippled.
I have cerebral palsy, It's the umbrella term for brain damage at birth in part that affects movement. Powerchair I also have a form of dysautonomia. That is also an umbrella term for my brain sucks at regulating the things brains are supposed to regulate automatically.

@cjp_still@spazgirl11 Thoughts on being disabled with unconventional interests t1/n. For the two people who would care/remember the earlier tweet that used Monet book other than some dogeared pages was in great shape. I ended up ordering another book off the same site.
I bought a photo illustrated copy of Seabiscuit. That book is one of my all-time favorites. Where disability comes in is the fact that both books were elementary school nostalgia purchases. I’ve loved Monet since first grade, and Seabiscuit was summer between 3rd and 4th grade.

tweet 1Today was the world prematurity day. Me coming into the world at just over 4 pounds 10.5 weeks early was the last time I was early for anything. The fact that I lost a few ounces and it took me 7 weeks in the NICU to get back to 4 is very true to the rest of my life.
tweet 2/n I have mixed feelings about my own prematurity. The doctor told my mom that a preemie like me had a one in 10 chance of having a long term problem. Then if I did have a problem the severity could be anywhere on a scale from 1 to 100 CP obviously made me 1 in 10.

Today was world Cerebral palsy day. Fittingly, it is also dysautonomia awareness month. CP is one of three things that like to make my life more challenging it's hard to say how it alone affects my life. Mostly because of dysautonomia. tweet 1/n
The "angry phase of CP, as it was called by my physical therapist, probably lasted about 5 years beyond the 7-9 age it typically does according to her. From 11- 17, I was dealing with chronic illness symptoms that no one could explain almost constantly to some degree. tweet 2/n
