THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF #LongCovid,short thread;
To understand why LC patients are being abandoned worldwide, it's essential to understand the history of #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis. For centuries, ppl were aware infection could destroy health for life & of need for convalescence What changed? There were outbreaks of post acute viral illnesses throughout the world (most likely a particular infection spread in that area & these post viral cases then appeared in a cluster as a result). Think about it as if #COVID19 had been contained to 1 country or area.

Did you know some people w #LongCovid have their LC triggered by vaccine rather than infection. We see greater number whose LC originates with the infection but #VaccineInducedLongCovid is acknowledged by world's leading LC specialists. This is not new. We know that some #pwME.. ..had a vaccine play part in the onset/trigger of their condition. Any stressor on the immune system appears to have potential to trigger post viral illness.This doesn't mean vaccines aren't important part of managing @Covid but that everyone should have info to make informed..
