🧵Back in 2007, an Arizona neo-Nazi named David Ryan Drake was sentenced to 9 years for manslaughter after killing a Latino/Native American teenager while wearing a Nazi uniform and calling the victim a racial slur.

Upon release, he changed his name to Ryan Aleksander Drago.

Good morning from the convoy in Hagerstown, Maryland!

Hundreds of trucks and vehicles parked here overnight, with more rolling in currently.

We are not sure what the plan today exactly is or if the group is heading elsewhere, but will bring you updates as things develop. The caravan appears to have doubled in size since they left Indiana. More big rigs for sure, estimating around 100 of those total.

In Indiana last night, religious fervor dominated a rally for "The People's Convoy."

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita joined the lineup of far right speakers, and urged the audience to run for local school boards. Rokita's conservative activism has proven dangerous to Indiana's most vulnerable residents. Physicians have criticized his politicization of the COVID-19 pandemic.

And his office is supporting a bill that would ban trans girls and women from sports:

The thing about this is people who get “blackpilled” are often really fucking dangerous and you gotta watch them like hawks. The ideologues who say “there’s no political solution” wrote books advocating for blowing up infrastructure and collapsing society in on itself. Image A couple folks on the comments are saying this looks like it wasn’t written by someone sincere which...it’s 4chan. Very possible. It’s likely this was written by somebody either mocking Trump types or someone trying to push them farther into extremism.

An activist source gave me some advice to pass along about what Telegram is useful for and what it isn't. A link posted in the channel was to a private vetting group where folks have to give the admin two of their social media accounts or contact details for an organizer to vouch for them. That might be legit or not. But if far-right trolls wanted to do a honeypot, that's how.
