All this week, we’ve been posting a series of stories on ASBMB Today about the lab work that led to the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. When I got up at four-thirty in the morning back in October to cover the announcement of the year’s first Nobel Prize – a first for me, and it felt like such a career achievement to even be doing this in the first place – there’s something that didn’t go into the same-day story.
