Before Rosa Parks 1/ When researching scientists, I once came upon Thomas L. Jennings. Fascinating man, 1st African American to get a patent, basically invented dry cleaning, but it was his daughter Elizabeth Jennings Graham that brought the most change. Here is her story

* #recipe thread * Seafood Gumbo 1/ The expression "Put your foot in" means you cooked something exquisite. Seafood gumbo takes a lot of time and prep to do right. This is a pricey one, but if you ever decide to make it, folks will say you put your foot in.
2/ This is a big gumbo so I cleaned 5 lbs of Shrimp, saving the heads(You need them) and I peeled a few pounds of crawfish, saving the heads(You need them) Most don't live where Crawfish is available, Go to Wal-Mart and get a bag of Louisiana crawfish(Follow directions)

When my children's book "Charlie and the Tortoise"(Book on Evolution) was released, Ken Ham of the Creation Museum(Thinks Earth is 6000 yrs old) wrote a scathing review. I replied the only way I know how. I wrote a children's story about his Ark Encounter. Here it is...

1/ I cooked Shrimp Creole tonight. One day my girlfriend was sick. I made her Shrimp Creole. She married me not long after that. It is easy!
2/ Cut up 1 large yellow onion, and 1 bunch of green onions. Have em ready. Everybody goes overboard with the vegetables in Creole. No need.
