You thought you were done screaming WTF @ #txlege? Not on their watch! @GregAbbott_TX has called a special session tomorrow with the intention of passing bills that threaten our rights and undermine our freedom to vote. Here's what you need to know →
movetexas.org/2021/07/06/wtf… @GregAbbott_TX A special session is intended to pass specific legislation that didn’t get through the #txlege in the regular session that the Governor deems necessary. It acts similar to a regular session, but on a much faster timeline of 30 days. But really, what’s so special about it?

Good morning, freedom fighters! After a long long night in the Texas Senate - we're back at the capitol bright and early this morning to testify against Texas' voter suppression scheme. #txlege This morning is the rescheduled hearing for House Bill 6 after last week's hearing prematurely ended after committee chair Briscoe Cain broke house rules. Seems odd he break small rules and get a rescheduled hearing, but HB 6 will criminalize small mistakes. 🤔 🍵

PRIMER: Here’s what to expect in Texas as the #txlege is poised to advance the worst attack on voting rights since Jim Crow.

Senate Bill 7 will be voted on by the full Senate TODAY and House Bill 6 is up for committee hearing on Thursday. Texas is already the most restrictive state for voting rights in the country and ranked 44th in voter turnout in the 2020 election. The bills being jammed through the legislature target young, disabled, Black and brown Texans to silence their voices in our democracy. #txlege

Good morning fans of fun, this morning is the first House Elections Committee of the new #txlege session and boy are we already tired.

The folks testifying today don't have a great track record with the truth about free and fair elections - so we're here to correct the record. Here's what you need to know: Last Month, State Rep. Briscoe Cain was named chair of the House Elections Committee months after traveling to Pennsylvania to help the Trump campaign undermine the results of a free, fair, and secure election. #txlege
