🧵The last 12 years, the best that the Conservative Party has to offer, the best 4 people to be Prime Minister have been: David Cameron who, to protect the Party & to hell with the country, brought us the hugely divisive Brexit Referendum to see off UKIP & Farage, utterly... 🧵...self-serving & massively damaging. Next, Theresa May who failed to unpick the Gordian Knot of Brexit left to her by David Cameron, she lost her majority in Parliament at the 'snap' & was ultimately sacked by her own MPs, cried her way out after failing to make sense...

Thread: 1/4 Access to the Single Market & Customs Union would revalue the UK & the Pound. The UK's Credit Rating would improve, reversing the drop due to Brexit. People forget #BrexitBrokeBritain and was to the very great detriment of the UK 2/4 #Brexit was never actually intended. It was Cameron's game of chicken with UKIP & a strategy to stave off UKIP's challenge to Tory voters afflicting Tory polling. The referendum was only ever about preservation of Tory hopes of ongoing power. All to the detriment of the UK

Point about being non-dom is that you have significant business interest outside of UK What then qualifies non-doms to drag UK into into economy-trashing Brexit? 🤷‍♂️ That which is detrimental to UK does not affect you; bovvered

Are you or your brexity neighbour a non-dom? I'm not If you are committed to UK, you rely on UK for NHS, Education, Law & Order, Environment, Social Care & Pension then, you really care about economic growth, economy, fiscal policy & general prosperity of nation. If you are untouched by all that then you have no mandate to make law

I don't know; do you!?? I saw @Keir_Starmer on podium at Peoples' Vote March. He was a Remainer. As remainers, all of us, if we truly believe better in than out; WE SHOULD DEFEND IT, with conviction! Big gamble; I believe it's what Labour should do. Campaign on Reverse Brexit

🧵From my mate Tom who, works a stall at food markets:

Fruit and veg pissed off because he can’t buy half of what he wants at a price he can then sell. Wholesale price for grapefruit - £25 a box of 12, for example... 🧵...Clothes seller can’t get his winter stock because his wholesalers warehouse is empty.

Conversation:
Clothes seller (remained): “why did we leave Europe?”...

Older folk who voted to brexit think it will not affect them. Well, when the brightest & best paid, want to leave & when labourers cannot arrive; what do they think will happen to the Exchequer's coffers & the sustainability of their pension payments & social care budget🦄 ?
