It was a very interesting match-up between two teams that master both build-up and pressing. Basically a chess match between De Zerbi and Arteta.

Non c'è molto da analizzare per quanto riguarda le altre fasi. La Ternana è passata in vantaggio subito e si è chiusa comprensibilmente nella propria metà campo lasciandoci totalmente il pallino del gioco. Non c'è pertanto molto da analizzare dal punto di vista della costruzione.
Partiamo dalle formazioni: Cagliari ripropone il 4-3-1-2 visto a Frosinone, con l'enorme differenza che al fianco di Lapadula non c'è Luvumbo, ma Lapadula. Meno capacità in dribbling, meno attacchi alla profondità, più presenza in area. Il Parma risponde con un 4-2-3-1.

This is how the two teams lined-up. Xavi confirmed the XI of last week (with the only change being Piqué for the injured Christensen), while Inzaghi replaced the injured Correa with Dzeko and Darmian with Dumfries (rightly so if you read my last analysis). 
As anticipated in my preview, Barça lined-up with a 3-square-3. Sergi Roberto played as the RCB (this will be important), Pedri played deep to the side of Busquets to form the double pivot, Raphinha played in the left half-space (weird choice), Alonso provided width. 
Barça usually struggle against teams playing with a back 5, but they'll also have the numerical superiority in the midfield (4vs3), so Bastoni and Skriniar will have to jump off the line in order to close on Pedri and Gavi, but that will create room in the half-space 
De Zerbi is one of the most clear and fine example of a position play-oriented manager. He wants his team to maintain possession of the ball, playing it from the back, counterpressing when it's lost and attacking the box with many players occupying the five offensive channels.
La Juve si schiera con il tanto richiesto 3-5-2, ma in fase di possesso costruiva con un 4+2, con Danilo e Cuadrado esterni bassi, Paredes e Rabiot davanti alla difesa, Miretti da incursore vicino alle due punte. 
Le caratteristiche più note ed efficaci della squadra di Klopp sono senza dubbio il pressing e il gegenpressing. Il Napoli ha fatto un lavoro egregio nel superare la pressione dei Reds, il ché gli ha permesso sia di trovare spazi in attacco, che di non soffrire difensivamente.

La Lazio aveva faticato a tantissimo contro la buona costruzione dell'Inter. Sarri optò per un pressing alto con i 3 giocatori d'attacco, l'Inter rispose con una costruzione 4+2 con de Vrij al fianco di Brozovic. Facilissimo per i ragazzi di Inzaghi arrivare sugli esterni bassi.
