Distinguished readers, you are welcome to the weekly leadership discourse. Today, we are at the verge of concluding governorship elections in the three states of Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo. They are parts of the off-circle elections we have. #LeadershipTalks
Beyond the degree of thuggery experienced, vote buying was substantially the order of the day. The irony of it all is the evident contradiction between the said degree of thuggery and the magnitude of security agents deployed for the elections.

I have found trending in the social media a purported letter from the United States Embassy in Nigeria declining the grant of visa to Honourable Justice Kudirat Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun on the alleged ground of a judgment given in a particular case.
The authenticity or otherwise of the letter I do not know but assuming, without conceding, that the letter is genuine, my enquiry is how did such letter get into the public space when it was specifically addressed to His Lordship?

A lot of us might not understand why the Governors are insisting on the old notes being legal tender.
Certainly it is not that they don’t know that they do not have the power to declare what is legal tender neither did they not know that do not lack the capacity to enforce any Supreme Court judgment.

Wonders shall never end and as the Yoruba put it, ti iya nla ba gbeni sonle, kekere a maa gun ori eni which literally means "upon being defeated by a calamity, little insults will be swarming on one".
Just this morning, a friend visited the BLS office in Ligali Ayorinde to submit her passport for a Schengen visa. Remember that the BLS is a collection agent for some embassies.

Few days ago, I wrote castigating some funny Governors harassing innocent citizens over the rejection of old notes.
With the intervention, I thought that others would have learnt from that but shocked that my own Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is joining this group of tyrants and oppressors who shy away from confronting their oppressor in the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Distinguished readers, welcome to our weekly leadership engagement series. Today, I am prematurely discussing the Supreme Court judgement in the Akeredolu’s case. #LeadershipTalks
I so describe it as 'premature’ because the official copy of the judgment is yet to be released for one to digest the content and issue an authoritative opinion thereon.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our engagement today. My inquiry takes me to the question of social Register in Nigeria. Majority of Nigerians recently learnt of the existence of a register for Nigerians. #LeadershipTalks
When and how the register was compiled shocked many Nigerians. Interestingly, such a crucial document upon which the lives of majority of the citizens living below two dollars per day are meant to be catered for is strange to them.

Today, the 23rd of January, 2019, I watched with amazement the lamentation of INEC on the continuous degeneration of voter apathy. The figures revealed a steady decline in the number of voters in each successful election since the year 1999. #LeadershipTalks
The story, for me, is not in the decline but the seemingly pretentious ignorance of INEC as per the factors responsible for the apathy. #LeadershipTalks

Colleagues on this platform, as agreed last week, we are discussing recall process today and if space permits, impeachment process as it relates to the executive. #LeadershipTalks
This is consequent upon our agreement that where the legislators fall short of our constitutional expectation of them, there is the ultimate remedy, as electorates, before the end their tenure to have recourse to. #LeadershipTalks
