#BREAKING: US Attorney General for the Virgin Islands just sued Jeffrey Epstein's estate, the 1st government entity to do so. They are seeking civil forfeiture of Little St. James and Great St. James islands, and claim Epstein abused girls as young as 13 years old. @wptv @WPTV AG George says she authorized an investigation into Epstein (a registered sex offender with her office) after receiving numerous complaints. The civil lawsuit was filed in V.I. Superior Court under their version of the RICO Act. bit.ly/35PHtMQ @WPTV

JUST IN: Newly released records from @PBCountySheriff show Jeffrey Epstein qualified for work release under a 2007 policy in place at the time, despite his prostitution crimes and convicted sex offender status. bit.ly/2MIO9Xh @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5 Being a “convicted sex offender” didn’t exclude inmates from the work release program until 2011, when @PBCountySheriff added that language to their work released policy. bit.ly/2MIO9Xh @WPTV @WPTVContact5

Same thing just happened to me. Four requests denied even though select media outlets have already received certain records. PBSO spokesperson Teri Barbera hasn’t answered any of my questions following up for these records. @FLFAF @PBCountySheriff Barbera is now citing an internal investigation AND a criminal investigation as reasons for keep the records from the public. Last time we heard from Barbera about this, Sheriff Ric Bradshaw had only opened an internal investigation. @WPTV @PBCountySheriff @FLFAF @samsminkWPTV

An excerpt from the deputy log @WPTVContact5 got this week from @PBCountySheriff. Jeffrey Epstein went to his Palm Beach home while on work release. Deputies stood outside. Today - the Sheriff's Office opened an internal investigation into all that. bit.ly/2YlQjSY @WPTV Lots of redactions in those deputy logs. Here's another example. It's hard to tell what happened at different times while they watched Epstein during work release. bit.ly/2YlQjSY @WPTV

Here’s how much Epstein paid PBSO *while* he was incarcerated. He paid it from a foundation he owned — the same foundation Epstein went to work at everyday during his work release. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5 Take a look at the one page record we received from @PBCountySheriff when we asked for financial records. We’ve followed up asking for receipts, since it’s not clear what the money was used for. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5
