The Central Government will mostly likely allow these #FarmersProtests to continue. The political calculation appears to be this: 1. The BJP will suffer in Haryana - however it's government was in any case unpopular except with urban Punjabis.

2. The BJP was never a player in Punjab except as a moderating influence on the SAD. If at all, it will gain with urban Hindus. 3. The BJP MAY suffer a little in parts of Western Uttar Pradesh but will benefit in the rest of the state thanks to these protests.
