The NFL writer who killed The Messenger, Football Outsiders and New York Times Sports. Don't let that dissuade you from hiring me, tho.

Start of training camps has made it clear how bad the Twitter experience has become. There were a bunch of #Jets training camp fights yesterday morning and essentially nothing found its way to my feed. I follow SO MANY #Jets beats/bloggers/fans/etc. Normally I know every time Zach Wilson completes a 7-on-7 checkdown on July 22nd. Yesterday, there were several brawls but barely a peep on my timeline. Will be the same for 31 other teams, I fear.

I can't express how thrilled I am to be providing my unique brand of pick-by-pick draft analysis for @fboutsiders for rounds 1-3 this year! This is my **20th** draft for some sort of pick-by-pick coverage! Outlets like @BleacherReport , @NYTSports , @Deadspin , Sports on Earth and others gave me the freedom to create my own brand of analysis (w/jokes, stats, player personality stuff, etc.) over the decades.

The Stafford trade is so monumentally dumb for the #Rams on every level that I am astounded at how many people are outsmarting themselves trying to make it seem shrewd. I mean, I get how well "I understand Matthew Stafford on deeper levels than you" plays #OnHere. He's damaged goods on the downside of his career. The Rams traded extreme draft capital and are eating cap $$ they don't have to get him. It's a disaster.

Some thoughts on how to be a little less afraid and anxious the days of Coronavirus, from your neighborhood NFL writer/former math teacher/parent from New Jersey, now under a pretty stringent emergency. 1 Try to “tune out” the national/international numbers. Worry about your phone booth: your family, loved ones, neighborhood. Are they safe/healthy/compliant? Our brains don’t handle huge numbers, international scale and long lags between actions/results/consequences very well.
