श्रद्धास्थान असलेले बनशंकरीचे मूळ देवस्थान बदामी, कर्नाटक येथे आहे. त्यावेळीचा प्रवास अतिशय खडतर होता. त्यांची देवीवर अतूट भक्ती असल्यामुळे ते सर्व त्रास सहन करून दर्शनाला जात असत. वयोमानामुळे त्यांना मर्यादा येऊ लागल्या. आता आपण शेवटचे दर्शन घ्यायचे म्हणून तिघेजण बदामीला आले.
