29 years ago, on Friday 25th, 1994, the 15 of Ramadan, my husband Tariq, who was 15 at the time, got up at down to have Suhoorسحور as usual, then went back to sleep.
A few hours later, not fully sure if he was dreaming or not, he was awakened by loud noises of👇 2/11
people yelling & screaming, accompanied by deafening cries of Allahu Akbar & pleas for help, filling the air.
My father-in-law delivered the devastating news, a massacre had just been committed in the Ibrahimi Mosque, and help was needed. Tariq was one of the young men 👇
