Y'all do know that the POTUS has less direct impact on your day-to-day lives than your local politicians, right?

The flip side is that a president (through SCOTUS and federal judiciary) can influence your life for a generation or more. Both matter.

#CIVICS 2) You will far less often deal with federal law in your day-to-day life. But you will deal with local and state law, every single day. And those laws change annually or more often. Federal law, not so much.

Only some people in America have to deal with pepper spray to the face of an unarmed, handcuffed 9-year-old child.

And oh yeah, the police were responding to a suicide distress call, regarding the CHILD.

But sure, tell me more about how @Kaepernick7 disrespected the flag. 2) There are two standards of policing in America.

There are two groups of people in America. Those who acknowledge this truth and those who hasten to deny and thus reinforce it.

If someone's killer is immediately apprehended, arrested and charged inside of 24 hours, you don't need a #Justice hashtag. THAT is how it is SUPPOSED to work.

The hashtag is for when you need a 9-minute video, civil unrest and political intervention to get ONE or SOME of that. People marched in the streets, contacted their politicians, staged sit-ins, the MEDIA IN RESPONSE covered it.

George Floyd's death wasn't some national event on the strength of the video, but a nation's RESPONSE to the video.

And nobody was arrested until AFTER a city burned.
