This raises interesting questions for @britishfuture and Hope not Hate. Will they carry on working with Qari Asim? If Britain's Future included a de facto blasphemy law enforced by gangs of men protesting outside cinemas, I think most people would say 'count me out'. #LadyOfHeaven

There's been considerable effort on social media to portray @kimleadbeater as much put upon by extremists. The centre left has rallied strongly round her.

But this Labour leaflet, in her name, appealing to (actual or perceived) UK-Pakistani hostility to India is desperate stuff @ZacGoldsmith's appeal to Indian voters when running against @SadiqKhan in 2016 is widely perceived to have been a mistake.
In #BatleyAndSpen Labour now seem to be trying their own variant on the same approach.
