State Department data confirms that Trump’s renewed travel ban has effectively ended the issuance of nonimmigrant visas to Iranians.
After months of delayed reporting, four months of data is now public, and the drop-off is staggering. 🧵
Before Trump’s 2nd term, more than 1,000 visitor visas (B1/B2) were regularly issued to Iranians each month.
After the June 2025 ban, visitor visa issuances to Iranians dropped to:
• 98 in June 2025
• 0 in July
• 2 in August &
• 2 in September
