Terror suspect Saddam Sheikh, who was arrested in Lucknow on July 2, was planning to use a truck to carry out an attack taking a cue from similar attacks in France and Germany in the past, UP anti-terrorism squad (ATS) officials said.

Saddam reportedly told interrogators he was influenced by terrorists like Osama bin Laden, Zakir Musa, Riyaz Naikoo, Naved Jatt, and Sameer Tiger.

The suspect was the member of the terror outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), an al-Qaeda affiliated Islamist militant group.

Saudi dumps Rohingya Muslims in Pakistan.

Pakistan will issue passports to the persecuted Rohingya Muslims residing in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose passports were not renewed since 2012.
