I've spent a lot of time thinking about sustainable #Play2Earn game economies
Sustainable #P2E = 20%+ of playerbase earns 10$ or more playing the game, without inflow of new players
I currently see 2 ways in which this can work 👇
1. External value flow into the game economy
Traditional example for this is ads - advertisers pay for the eyeballs of players within the game
This will likely need to be supplemented with other value flows (e.g. data, esports) to reach full P2E amounts (10$+)

1/6 Part of the disagreement between pro and anti #blockchaingames people stems from different definitions of what a ‘game’ is
2/6 Traditionally - a video game is the piece of software that players interact with to get a sense of fulfilment. To ‘have fun’.
Given this definition, it’s not surprising that some say ‘blockchain doesn’t do anything that we can’t already do!’
