Pink News says tomorrow's Judicial Review may set 'a far-reaching & regressive legal precedent, undermining the landmark 1986 Gillick case which gave young people the right to make important decisions about their own bodies without the need for parental consent.
First, they are obviously not confident about winning the case. And with good reason, as the government has just dropped the GRA, announced a change of policy on trans education in schools and the Tavistock is already reviewing its way of dealing with 'trans' kids.

'Sally Hines professes Queer Theory but makes a number of reductive and simplistic assumptions: firstly, that gender critical feminism says there is no link between biology and gender.'
'Yet, as philosopher Dr Jane Clare Jones points out, it is
gender critical feminism that offers “the radical proposition that what you like, what you wear and who you are should not be dictated by your chromosomes, hormones or any other marker of biological sex” Jones, 2018'

More from Heather Brunskell Evans new book: 'The
norms of ‘femininity’ and ‘masculinity’ aren’t free floating,
imposed from nowhere and without ultimate purpose.
'Patriarchy is a historical structure that has oppressed women on the basis of their biology. '
This is why we must talk about sex not gender, or we miss the entire stinking festering sore of woman abuse in all its manifold and agonizing forms.

Heather's first ever trans person was Emily, a man who 'transitioned' because he felt he could not live up to his parents' ideal of masculinity. She accepted this but felt it was sad not to be accepted for who you are.
We agree.
Heather then got into trouble for commenting in a university journal on Bruce Jenner's 'trans'formation which was followed up by some heavy victim-claiming from Paris Lees. Entitlement 101.

We love the Society for Evidenced-Based Medicine. Real medics, real evidence, real info, no waffle or lies. segm.org
61-98% of 'gender-dysphoric' kids reidentify with their birth sex after talking therapy and support.
There is as yet no equivalent study of what happens without medical intervention to the current cohort of adolescent-onset gender dysphoric teenagers. So no evidence that they will or won't sort themselves out like most kids do.

Success! Following a detailed complaint by OBJECT, a course on Transgender People in the Workplace written by Gendered Intelligence for the Open University, marketed by @FutureLearn has been withdrawn from sale while the materials are reviewed. @Transgendertrd @Genderintell
We complained that the course did not define its terms eg gender, masculine, feminine. Nor did it offer evidence for its many assertions eg that 1% of people are trans.

Autogynephiles play a long game. They act the perfect partner till they're established under your roof then casually introduce the topic of cross-dressing like it was an occasional little harmless hobby.
Like maybe knitting or growing bonsai.
Only gradually do you come to realise, as you slave to pay the bills and parent the kids, that it's really their entire life and you are, and have always only ever been, just the support system.

Sex (male or female) is an identity - you cannot escape it, society punishes it in women. Same with skin colour, disability and age (multiple disadvantage for women).
Sexual orientation is not an identity - it can change. It's only society's crazy heteronormativity that makes it a real issue.
Religion is not an identity - dependent women and children can't escape it but many adults can and do leave their religion and are often punished for it.

Once upon a time there was a poor little rich boy. His Mummy and Daddy paid lovely kind people to look after him and educate him. He grew up and went to the university of his choice to study. @PankhurstEM@DrJessTaylor@janeclarejones@fairplaywomen@Transgendertrd
When he left university he had the car he wanted, boat he wanted, plane he wanted and study opportunities he wanted. He had the girlfriend he wanted, but still he wasn't quite happy.

Thread. Dear ‘good guy’ porn user, the one who claims they don’t watch sexual violence, I have a few questions. Is there any ethical pornography? Can porn ever be considered o.k. and just naked women smiling?
If we ignore all of the evidence that show that porn contains and promotes MVAWG & fosters damaging views about women and entertain the notion that somewhere out there on the internet there exists videos of naked women just having a good time, what about the production?

The influence of porn and the objectification of women is clear in the products for sale. Gone are the days of enhancing women's feeling and pleasure, now many of the products include anaesthetic.
When a man needs to anaesthetise a woman's body parts it is a clear indication that he is using her as a sexual object for his pleasure, with no regard for hers. Alongside the fact that the clit is not in the rectum there are no orgasms from a numbed rectum.

Porn is about male dominance, porn is about telling all women 'know your place'. It is therefore no surprise that porn is being used to bully and sexually harass women in the work place. Thread.
The use of porn to bully and victimise female paramedics is across the U.K. From Bristol 'Female paramedics have been 'forced to watch pornography, give sexual favours and have been physically propositioned' while working at the ambulance service which serves Bristol'.

We were shocked, and it often shocks others, that Amnesty International is in favour of female sexual slavery and sexual exploitation - here is their prostitution policy: scribd.com/doc/202126121/…
'Amnesty International believes that seeking, buying, selling and soliciting paid sex are acts protected from state interference as long as there is no coercion, threats or violence associated with those acts'.
What about financial coercion?

@Docstockk is a brilliant scholar and a champion of the rights of women. Solidarity with her against the abuse and defamation of @WelfareUSSU@USSU. What is happening at the @SussexUni ,it is not a safe environment to be a female academic or student?
The @SussexUni does have a history of failing females, here from 2017 after an inquiry it was found to have failed in its duty of care to a female assualt victim. From the @USSU letter it looks like it may be a breeding ground for misogynistic attitudes. independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…

How does Penny Mordaunt's position that ‘Trans women are women, that is the starting point’ fit with the Nolan Principles? This Equalities minister appears to be breaking the 7 Principles of Public life.... pinknews.co.uk/2018/07/03/pen…
The 'Nolan principles', which Penny Mordaunt appears to have abandoned, are the basis of the ethical standards expected of public office holders. Here is the govt. link: gov.uk/government/pub…

Been checking out the manosphere and incels. After wading through a quagmire of d**k pics can report back that there is a large, misogynistic subculture that needs to be dealt with as a public health crisis. It is porn sick. *Content Warning for this Thread*
According to this TIM reverse rape (a.k.a sexual rejection by a women/girl) is worse than real rape and should be included in #MeToo
