I am sickened by today’s Supreme Court decision on #RoevsWade, and I’m angry for my wife, daughter, and millions of women across the country who woke up this morning with a fundamental right to choose their health care choice taken away from them. This decision is wrong, and to make matters worse, the solution to this problem hit a procedural roadblock in Congress that shouldn’t even exist. The filibuster, a relic of the Jim Crow era, is keeping us from protecting women in America.

The world is watching in disbelief as innocent Ukrainian lives are being lost in a war that never should have been waged. Meanwhile, something dangerous is brewing in #France in the candidacy of Marine Le Pen. #Election2022 #Election2022 is taking place quietly in the background in #France, and it is our duty to expose the truth behind candidates who do not, in our opinion, meet the moment. This has never been more important than now.

Yesterday, in the hallowed birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, @POTUS echoed our call for honoring my father’s legacy — there should be no celebration of the King holiday without voting rights legislation. .@POTUS was clear in his call for eliminating the filibuster to pass voting rights & we’re grateful he supports the change that we need. But he can’t rest this call at the feet of the Senate & walk away—he must use the full power of his office to ensure this Jim Crow relic falls.
