The exposition Untergang des römischen Reiches in Trier is clearly a big hit

thousands of people are tiptoeing in slow pace through small and narrow exposition spaces

nevertheless - as a Germanicist and historical linguist - I am disappointed in this exposition

This paradigm emphasizes continuity of Roman institutions and material culture..
