Good mid morning. In today's news, schools are set to open for exam classes only. Some next week, others end of Sept. Many govt &rural schools are still charging fees in ZWL. 3rd term fees are $10 gvt fee, levies range from ZWL200-800. That's US$0.12, levy US$2.5-$10🤨
Meanwhile pvt schools are charging from $450 - $4k. Parents from both are protesting. Gvt schools because there is no way PPE, sanitizers, operational costs, etc at $10 per child to last 3months? The pvt school parents feel ripped off. They would like at least a 30% discount...

1. Been trying to self isolate after Gogo's funeral. Let's just say as a mother and wife without a helper it can't, not a chance😔 my 2 little ones are huggers, they love to tell me nyaya and jokes. Been trying to teach them the elbow greeting / first bump...it ain't happening...
2. Every morning they make breakfast, but I still make lunch &supper &clean the house& I'm still the referee. So I challenged them. Said "pretend I'm not here for 2 days". I packed my snacks, kettle, steamer, juice etc. They fought a lot &played. 3pm they knocked "we're hungry"

Just had a wake up call. I'm living in a box. Yes I knew primary school kids are on insta, but i didnt know that they're also organising watch parties on FB and watching porn 😢 I repeat primary school kids. They also send nudes to each other...heard this from a parent at a party

True story, was once engaged to a Ndebele, his mom and his uncles refused to speak to me in Shona or English. They would tell him to that I either had to learn their language and culture or he should marry a Ndebele lady. So I started learning, and still they were not happy.🤣
It's the same the other way round to. When my friend, a shona, wanted to marry a ndebele lady, his family kept trying to push him to marry a shona girl from their village. In the end they married in court and relocated. He's in SA. That's how hectic it was.

My friends late mother lived alone in her house but on her property she had a gardener. They made a pact that everyday by 10am they shld have seen each other. If 4 some reason one failed to see the other, he/she was to purposefully make an effort to find whoever hadnt clocked in
So one day at 10am,my friends mum had not "clocked in", the gardener knocked &got no reply, he had a spare key & just as he was opening the door she came out looking very ashen & in pain. She greeted him hurriedly &left. She never came back home, she passed on at a cousins house

If you want to know what's going on with your little ones & asking them straight up isnt working, rather ask them to draw pics or write stories. Don't prompt them, just let them do. Read/look at their work &ask them to share what its about. Do that often &you'll pick up something
My daughter at one time became so clingy and was always in our room, refusing to sleep alone, but if I asked she couldn't say. So I asked her to draw pictures &write stories. Turns out that the passing of my Dad &brother within 2months scared her, she was worried I might be next

She said it pains her to see young people with stage 3 / stage 4 cancer when early detection is possible. She said people should prioritize screening. She is a strong woman. She has been going for treatment for over 6 months now, but vows to get up and go no matter how painful..

A short thread. #AllLivesMatter, few months ago woman rushes to hospital,son has severe burns, tipped over a pot of boiling water. Doc's called, gets there it's bad, hospital has nothing, no pain killer suitable for a kid his age, no sterilized bandages, nothing! kid is in pain.
#AllLivesMatter, writes prescription and asks woman to buy. She goes gets quotes, returns empty handed, breaks down, single mum (maid), can't even afford to buy paracet. Doc is present, but can't do anything. Feels bad, refers her to a pvt clinic. Gives her a letter. Off she goes

A thread. #TeenageSuicides, My gardeners 16 yr old niece passed on after taking poison. Apparently her Mum shouted at her the day before. So she took the poison, packed it in her school bag and left for school. She then drank it at school in the toilet and was found still alive.
#TeenageSuicides, they rushed her to the nearest clinic and then to hospital, and the nurses managed to rescusitate her. But nothing that further that could be done because there were no doctors. And even if they were, the hospital was ill equipped. So she died as a result.

Lady telling me about how she built her business. Says her Dad left her mum when she was young because she kept "having" girls. She was chased away like a dog, she said from that her mum dealt with it by keeping very busy. No one was allowed to be idle, only when asleep ...
She said her mum taught them how to knit, sew, make peanut butter, grow crop, look after chickens, sell goods pa road. They were always busy. They managed to finish school, went to vocational schools &all 3 sisters are entrepreneurs. Her mum never remarried & is still always busy
